As a Tulsa native I am honored to be a part of the Corporate Performance Group team working with business owners and others to grow and develop their companies and non-profits. I am an analytical and conceptual thinker with expertise in financial planning and analysis, operations, strategic planning and profitability improvement. I am a trusted advisor to business owners, CEO’s and management teams, and I truly enjoy partnering with owners and business leaders to promote growth and create value.
I have provided advisory services to companies in industries ranging from manufacturing and medical devices to telecommunications and financial services. My clients include large, publicly traded companies, private-equity backed organizations, Native American tribes, and family-owned small businesses.
I attended Oklahoma State University, was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity and earned a BS degree in Finance and Accounting. My first job out of college was as a financial analyst at American Airlines, which was a great fit because I love commercial aircraft and am fascinated by the airline industry. That interest began as my parents both worked for American Airlines, my Mom as a flight attendant and Dad as an airline mechanic.
After graduation from OSU I was blessed to marry my wife Kelly who has been a supportive partner in life and in work. We have two amazing children who give us hope for the next generation in how they live out their lives and their passions. Our oldest is a student at Drake University, while our youngest is set to graduate high school in 2020 and shares my passion for soccer.
My career progressed through several financial planning and analysis positions and during this time I attended the University of Tulsa, where I earned my MBA. Shortly thereafter I moved to Kansas City to work for Sprint in the Corporate Audit department. My responsibilities more closely resembled those of a consultant than an auditor, and it was in this role that I began to develop a desire to serve clients in a consulting capacity.
In 2007 we moved to San Antonio, TX when I became President of a privately-held medical education company. Working in this environment required me to wear many hats and I experienced first-hand the challenges that small businesses face.
In 2014 the desire to be closer to family brought me back to Tulsa to serve as Chief Financial Officer for a another privately-held company. I helped lead the organization through a private-equity transaction and after two years decided I was ready to work as a consultant.
My primary objective is to build lasting relationships and guide my clients through the ups and downs they’ll experience as they grow their business. I look forward to partnering with you.
